It would be a lie to say that the Millennium Trilogy has only a few intriguing characters. The novels, and films, are full of them. The characters that stand out are typically the most unique and the ones with the most compelling stories to tell. Erika Berger makes the list because she is one of the characters who can really keep Mikael in check. As co-owner of the Millennium, Erika has a take charge attitude and intelligence that make the reader want a peek of her backstory. Harriet Vanger, the character thought to be missing in the first novel of the series, escaped a terrible circumstance. She escaped abuse and was left with nothing to lose. Miriam Wu is another intriguing character in the series, although she is a minor one.
